I'm honestly not sure exactly how many times you've driven my Mom, with her dementia it's hard to tell exactly. Regardless, I wanted to share with you something I heard her say the other day which, for me, epitomizes the best part about the service you provide and how well you provide it.
She said, 'I sit right in the front seat with her and we visit. She talks to me, and it's always such a nice conversation, she really is a wonderful person.'
I'm not sure if my quote is exactly right, but I tried very hard to remember it as close to what she said as I could....
My heart was warmed by the thought of how much it meant to my Mom that you talk to her, and that having her in the front seat is more like a companion than just a ride somewhere. Thank you so much for what you do, and caring enough to make my Mom feel so valued.

Due to full bookings I was put in touch with a Daisy other than the one where I live and I just want you to know that I consider her to be a personal Gift from GOD. I did not expect to survive my surgery yet being in Diane's company was laughter from the moment I got into her Daisy mobile. I asked the LORD for help getting through the emotional crisis of faith I was having due to my brain aneurysm and he had me referred to Dianna via Kim. God truely blessed me with the driver and friend he sent me. Thank you. PS her little Daisy mobile is the same colour as my bible, crazy cool eh! I am writing this on behalf of my Mother Cathie and myself. We are thrilled beyond words to have heard of Driving Miss Daisy and especially to have met a life time friend - Dianna Owen. Both my Mother and myself are certainly getting on in age and unable to carry suitcases, drive a car and Dianna came into our life when we needed assistance getting to our summer home in the Haliburton Highlands. We both suffer from arthritis and Mom, heart issues. How do you describe Dianna - she is a blessing in disguise. She is caring, genuine, funny (makes us laugh), concerned for our well being, does everything to ensure we are comfortable. We would like to thank Dianna and how do you tell her how much we appreciate her. We are looking forward to our next trip in September. She is an excellent driver which makes us both feel so safe.

Michelle Curial-Hebert is the Driving Miss Daisy lady who helps with my mom. My mom lives in an EDAL facility in Vileneuve, Alberta just outside of St. Albert. I live on the west coast. Michelle has been a huge help with my mom taking her for appointments, visiting her and attending to her needs that are beyond the scope of her facility or what I can do for her from a distance. Michelle is always on time and is very knowledgeable about the healthcare system and processes. She always reports back to me right away after visits to the doctor to keep me informed. DMD is a fantastic service. I do not know what I would do without Michelle in our lives!

My mother, Daisy, is in her nineties living in Kelowna, BC. I live 500 km north of Kelowna. Elyse(elyse@drivingmissdaisy.net) has been taking my Mom shopping, to the bank, and to medical appointments that I could not attend for about four years now. She is fantastic. She is professional warm and caring. Mom sees her as a friend. Mom has increasing memory loss, so Elyse has been a consistent familiar care giver for her.
At 98 Mom still goes out to get her nails done and she relies on Elyse and Kristi (her nail technician) to coordinate her appointments.
I cannot recommend Elyse highly enough. She sends me invoices by email. Mom is eligible for taxi saver coupons so the exceptional service provided is of very good value.

A BIG BOUQUET of roses to Dave Owen - of Driving Miss Daisy. Have been using him for two years and could not ask for a more kind and helpful person. He will take you to any appointment, escort you into the building, ask the receptionist what time your appointment will be finished and either wait for you or will return at the appropriate time. Courteous and on time - he is always there with a smile. Thank you, Dave, you are an asset to the community.

TO DRIVING MISS DAISY, Dave, this man is excellent in looking after the elderly. He not only helps you out of the store with your groceries but when he brings you home he brings your groceries through to the kitchen. He is a swell person and I feel I owe him a great big thank you.

A PLENTIFUL CROP of BEAUTIFUL DAISIES to Dave Owen, owner and operator of Driving Miss Daisy. I have MS and last October I was unable to drive for 6 months and I happened to come upon his card and gave him a call. He was my driver for that time frame and now he drives me when I am having a bad day. He has been nothing less than a blessing. He picks me up, takes me where I have to be on time and when I have to go shopping he comes in with me and puts things in the cart, takes them out, takes me home and brings things into my kitchen. When I have a doctor's appointment he comes in and waits for me and then brings me home. He always opens and closes all doors. My husband works away and it has been a trial by times and Dave and his business has been very helpful. He even took my dog to the groomers and back. Also helped me take my cat to the vet and back. I consider him a friend as well as a business man. I truly thank God for him. I wish him much success in the future and if you are in need of a friendly, clean, and helpful drive remember DAVE at DRIVING MISS DAISY. Thanks again for everything Dave. A very grateful person in need of a drive.
