Brigitte was looking for a change in her professional life and it came when she read about Driving Miss Daisy and Bev Halisky in the Vancouver Sun. She contacted Driving Miss Daisy and was soon on the road to becoming one of the first Lower Mainland Daisies, commencing service in the Tri-Cities in March, 2008. She feels it was one of the best decisions of her life. Working in the local community with seniors, special needs and disabled persons has been of great personal satisfaction to Brigitte. Being able to assist her clients, their families and friends has enabled her to add to her many skills with useful information about diabetes, macular degeneration, cataracts, hip replacement, Alzheimer’s, dementia and many other afflictions. It has also taught that kindness, compassion and humour can help in almost all situations, because life can be really difficult sometimes. Driving Miss Daisy fills a special niche for those needing more than just a ride to the doctor or shopping. We help with all aspects of service needs from the wonderful trip to a foreign land and needing airport service, to an early morning drive to the hospital for cataract surgery (and more than a little moral support along the way)! Brigitte has been happily married to Tom since 1988 and they have three lovely daughters. She looks forward to hearing from you and discussing your needs. |
